Century Walk News

July 17, 1998 — Source: Naperville Sun, The (IL)

This is in response to the letter from Dorothy Kline regarding the reprint of Genevieve Towsley's "A View of Historic Naperville from the Skylines."

The Century Walk Corp. is very excited to be providing a life-size bronze sculpture of Mrs. Towsley.

We are grateful to Mr. Dwight Yackley for allowing us to place the sculpture in front of the new Barnes and Noble bookstore.

He has also very generously agreed to pay for the reprinting of her book, with the cooperation of The Naperville Sun newspaper, which will possibly be sold at Barnes and Noble, Anderson's Bookstore and the Naper Settlement.

The proceeds from the sale will benefit Century Walk.

Thank you for your comments.

We agree that many newcomers to Naperville will be as fascinated with the history of Naperville as the longtime residents are.

We are proud to include this as part of the work of Century Walk for this year.
