Three hundred student artists will gather Friday to dedicate the "River of Life" mosaic, a work that celebrates the diversity of Naperville life.

The dedication will be held at 10 a.m. in the parking lot west of Anderson's Bookshop, 123 W. Jefferson Ave. The Century Walk organization, which sponsored the project, will hold its dedication ceremony on Sunday, June 13.

Four "story quilts" in clay relief -- made up of 400 tiles -- cover 156 square feet.

Seen through the eyes of Naperville youth, the artwork depicts the memories, experiences and future hopes of a community.

The project was funded by the Naperville Jaycees and with grants from the Marshall Fields Foundation and Jones Intercable.
