Description: Bronze sculpture of girl and boy reading. Created in 1988, this piece was adopted into Century Walk in 1998.

Plaque Text: This bronze sculpture of a young girl and boy reading books captures the delight reading brings to Naperville's children. These life-size figures were originally created in clay over a stell skeletal structure, made into wax-filled molds, and finally cast in bronze. Each figure was made in several separate pieces, then welded together and retouched. The patina finish adds a quality of agelessness to the piece.
